BITTER MELON

by VIDYA VAIBHAV

A heartfelt read summarising the duality of life. The verses hit home and there is something for every loving, aching, hoping heart.

Some questions with our amazing Author:

1. Whats was that one thought, or an image or an idea that refused to leave your mind until you wrote this book/poem?

I had an image which often came to me and went like a known scent –  sitting on a cliff on a chilly winter night with someone who had his arms wrapped around me  inside a cozy quilt and with open eyes we gazed at the star lite sky. It was back then when I was a 20 year old girl living in my fancy world.

2. If this book were to sit on a bookshelf with another book – which book  would you choose and what would it say ?

It has to be the “Milk and honey” by Rupi Kaur. My book would certainly ask her .. what makes you so fearless and free spirited ..here,

I am still shackled …

3. If your book was a person , what kind of person  would it be and what would it look like?

If my book was a person it would be just like me a common girl with common looks and common fantasies. A storm wrapped in a simple saree.

4. If a reader accidentally drops your book into another universe, what genre it would be?

I think I would be fiction because the world, love , care , appreciation  we desire is not for real ..

5. 2 movies to watch if our reader loves this book

1. The notebook 2. Before the sunrise (trilogy)
